China's development strategy for nuclear power during the period of the '12th Five-Year Plan' remains unaltered even after the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant accident. This incident awoke the Chinese government's attention towards nuclear safety and new technologies development in future nuclear power plant construction and planning. It has been indicated by statistical data that currently there are 28 nuclear reactors under construction, and 38 nuclear reactors are carrying out preliminary work. Additionally, experts anticipate that in the coming five years, the fixed assets investment in the field of nuclear power plant construction will reach more than RMB70 billion per year.
After the immense success of the previous China Nuclear Power Congress, Noppen’s 6th Annual China Nuclear Power Congress is returning with new critical topics to discuss, with a special emphasis on the safety side of nuclear power development as well as previewing upcoming safety regulations and analyzing China’s future development plan. The conference endeavors to draw attention to advanced safe technologies for plant management and maintenance whilst providing the most up-to-date progress reports on major projects across China.
